After saving up spent AA batteries for weeks while searching for someplace to take them for recycling, this morning I thought to see if I could find a list of battery recycling centers online.  Instead, I discovered that, since alkaline batteries no longer contain mercury, they don't need to be recycled.  They can just go in the landfill bag ( Read more... )

I finally had my turkey dinner, after I finally got aroung to making mashed potatoes.  (Gotta have mashed potatoes.)  And almost choked to death from inhaling a kernal of sweet corn.  Twice.

The sun's out, I got a good night's sleep, and I'm still completely inert.  Maybe my internal clock's off -- I went to bed an hour later than usual (a Bourne mini-marathon), and got up an hour later.  I'm schocked and awed every time I look at the clock.  I should be hungry -- hell, I should have eaten already -- and I'm not.

I've resolved all outstanding debt issues, so now I have to start apartment hunting.  I really, really, really hate moving but I can't stand another winter in this place.
